Reds tear apart Cubs

Joey Votto belted a two-run homer and three others drove in a pair of runs as the Cincinnati Reds ran over the Chicago Cubs 12-0 in the opener of a three-game series at Wrigley Field Friday afternoon.

The Reds won the game as +125 underdogs, and the 12 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9) set by sportsbooks.

Bronson Arroyo allowed just two hits over six scoreless innings for the win, improving his record to 8-4 overall.

Ryan Dempster gave up five runs off two hits in 6 1-3 innings in suffering the loss for the Cubs.
