Reds cut down BoSox
Aaron Harang fanned seven batters in a combined four-hitter Friday, as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Boston Red Sox 3-1 in the opener of a three-game Interleague game at Great American Ball Park.
Cincinnati won the game as -125 favorites, but the four runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9).
Jay Bruce and Adam Dunn homered for the Reds. Harang won for just the third time this season, and Francisco Cordero collected his 13th save with a scoreless ninth.
Manny Ramirez drove in the lone run for the Red Sox. Justin Masterson surrendered three runs off four hits over 6 2-3 innings in the loss.
