Mets stun Reds
The New York Mets rallied for four runs in the ninth inning Thursday, as they defeated the Cincinnati Reds 10-8 in the opener of a four-game series at Great American Ball Park.
New York won the game as -145 favorites, and the 18 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8).
David Wright hit homered and drove in four runs to lead the Mets, while Carlos Delgado and Fernando Tatis hit two-run homers. Duaner Sanchez tossed a scoreless eighth for the win, and Billy Wagner threw a perfect ninth to pick up his 23rd save.
Javier Valentin hit a three-run double for the Reds, and Jeff Keppinger drove in two runs. Francisco Cordero was tagged with four runs in relief and suffered the loss.
