Reds edge Pirates in Game 1

Cincinnati won as -120 home favorites, while the game played UNDER the 10-run total listed by sportsbooks.
Drew Stubbs went 2-for-4 with a big fly for the Reds, as Nick Masset picked up the win in relief of starter Kip Wells for Cincinnati.
Jason Jaramillo was 2-for-4 with two runs batted in for Pittsburgh, while Chavez was handed the loss after allowing the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning.
