Cubs slug their way past Reds
The Chicago Cubs scored four runs on three home runs in a 4-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park Saturday afternoon.
Chicago won priced at -103 while the final score played UNDER the 8.5-run total.
Alfonso Soriano, Jeff Baker and Kosuke Fukudome all went yard for the Cubbies. Starter Carlos Zambrano overcame a rough Opening-Day outing, allowing three runs on six hits through seven innings in his second start of the season.
Brandon Phillips hit a two-run shot in the third inning for the Reds. Pitcher Aaron Harang went seven innings, giving up three runs on four hits. Reliever Arthur Rhodes surrendered the go-ahead home run in eighth inning.
