The San Diego Padres got a solid effort on the mound from its pitching staff, blanking the Cincinnati Reds 5-0 at Great American Ball Park Saturday.
San Diego won as a +104 road underdog while the final score played UNDER the 9-run total.
Padres starting pitcher Wade LeBlanc went six scoreless innings, giving up three hits and striking out six batters. Slugger Adrian Gonzalez finished the day 1-for-4 with a home run while third baseman Chase Headley finished 3-for-4 at the plate.
Reds starter Johnny Cueto lasted six innings, giving up five runs on seven hits while striking out five batters.
