Phillies outlast Reds in extra innings
Raul Ibanez's run-scoring double in the top of the 10th inning broke a 6-6 tie, as the Philadelphia Phillies went on to defeat the Cincinnati Reds 9-6 on Tuesday night.
Philadelphia cashed as +105 road underdogs, while the teams played OVER the 9.5-run total posted by oddsmakers.
Wilson Valdez went 2-for-4 with a three-run jack and four runs batted in for the Phillies, as Brad Lidge picked up the win in relief of Joe Blanton for Philadelphia.
Joey Votto was 2-for-5 with a three-run homer for Cincinnati, while Arthur Rhodes took the loss after allowing the go-ahead runs in the top of the 10th.
