Braves outgun Rockies

The Atlanta Braves managed 17 hits on Friday, downing the Colorado Rockies 9-7 at Coors Field.

The Braves won as road favorites at -120, and the 16 runs scored were OVER the posted total of 10.

Chuck James (3-2) improved his record by going 5 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on six hits. Craig Wilson and Andruw Jones both went deep for the Braves.

Jeff Francis (1-3) was tagged for four runs on 11 hits over 5 1/3 innings. Garrett Atkins was 2-for-5 with three RBI for the Rockies.
