Rockies win thriller over Padres

The Colorado Rockies rallied for three runs in the bottom of the 13th inning Monday night, to defeat the San Diego Padres 9-8 at Coors Field in a tiebreaker and advanced into the postseason.

Colorado won the game as +120 underdogs, while the combined 17 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (9).

Troy Tulowitzki had four hits and one RBI in seven at bats, and Matt Holliday was 2-for-6 with two RBIs for the Rockies. Ramon Ortiz pitched one inning of relief for the win.

Adrian Gonzalez was 3-for-6 at the plate, including a grand slam for the Padres. Trevor Hoffman surrendered all three runs in relief to suffer the loss.
