Red Sox win World Series

Mike Lowell and Bobby Kielty hit solo home runs Sunday night, as the Boston Red Sox defeated the Colorado Rockies 4-3 to complete a four-game sweep and win the 2007 World Series.

The Red Sox were a -130 road favorite in the game. The seven runs scored fell UNDER the posted over/under total (11).

David Ortiz and Jason Varitek each delivered an RBI for Boston, while Jon Lester earned the win after pitching 5 2-3 shutout innings.

Garrett Atkins hit a three-run home run for Colorado and Brad Hawpe added a solo shot. Aaron Cook took the loss for the Rockies after allowing three runs on six hits over six innings.
