Mets rally past Marlins
The New York Mets scored twice in the top of the ninth inning as they defeated the Florida Marlins 6-5 in the series-opener Friday night at Land Shark Stadium.

Jeff Francoeur belted a three-run homer to lead the Mets. Bobby Parnell earned the win in relief, and Francisco Rodriguez closed out the ninth for his 34th save.
Hanley Ramirez smacked a three-run homer for the Marlins. Leo Nunez surrendered three hits and two runs over one inning of relief in the loss.
