Reds upend Marlins in extra innings

Joey Votto and Brandon Phillips each had an RBI single in the top of the 11th inning to lift the Cincinnati Reds over the Florida Marlins 10-8 on Tuesday night.

Cincinnati won as +100 road underdogs, while the game played OVER the 9-run total set by sportsbooks.

Jonny Gomes was 2-for-3 with a three-run blast and four runs batted in for the Reds, as Micah Owings was handed the win in relief of Bronson Arroyo for Cincinnati.

Cody Ross went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and four RBIs for Florida, while Dan Meyer took the loss after allowing the eventual winning runs in the top of the 11th.
