Marlins blank Cardinals

Chris Volstad pitched a complete-game shutout to lead the Florida Marlins past the St. Louis Cardinals 4-0 on Monday.

Florida cashed as +150 home underdogs, while the teams played UNDER the 8-run total set by oddsmakers.

Volstad allowed five hits and struck out three for the Marlins, who got a grand slam from Brad Davis in the win.

Matt Holliday went 2-for-4 for St. Louis, while Chris Carpenter gave up four runs over six innings to take the loss for the Cardinals.
