Dodgers destroy Marlins

Chad Billingsley pitched seven strong innings, allowing only one run while striking out 13 Sunday, as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Florida Marlins 9-1.

The Dodgers were a -170 favorite in the game and the 10 runs scored went OVER the posted over/under total (8.5).

Matt Kemp was 3-4 with two RBI and two runs scored for the Dodgers and Nomar Garciaparra was 2-3 with a pair of RBI in the win.

Luis Gonzalez drove in the Marlins’ lone run, while Andrew Miller was pounded for seven runs on five hits in one 2-3 innings.
