Brewers fend off Blue Jays
The Milwaukee Brewers built up an eight run lead and held on to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays 8-7 and sweep the three-game series at Miller Park Thursday afternoon.
Milwaukee won the game as +105 underdogs, while the 15 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8.5).
Russell Branyan belted a three-run homer to lead the Brewers, and Corey Hart finished with two RBIs. Dave Bush tossed eight innings for the win, and Salomon Torres recorded the last out to earn the save.
Joe Inglett belted a grand slam in the ninth inning to give the Blue Jays a chance. A.J. Burnett gave up eight runs off eight hits over five innings in the loss.
