Brewers hammer Giants

Bill Hall belted two home runs to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 13-4 pounding of the San Francisco Giants Friday in the opener of the three-game series at Miller Park.

Hall finished 3-for-6 with six RBIs for the Brewers, while Prince Fielder had three hits and three RBIs. Carlos Villanueva gave up eight hits and two runs over 5 1-3 innings for the win, and Salomon Torres tossed three innings for the save.

Bengie Molina hit a two-run homer for the Giants. Jonathan Sanchez allowed seven runs in four innings to suffer the loss.
