Reds down Brewers in rubber match
The Cincinnati Reds rallied for three runs in the seventh inning and earned a 4-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers in the rubber match of the three-game set Thursday afternoon at Miller Park.
Cincinnati won the game as +105 underdogs, and the five runs went UNDER the day’s posted over/under (8.5).
Edwin Encarnacion belted a two-run homer and finished 2-for-3 at the plate for the Reds. Aaron Harang allowed one run off five hits through eight innings to pick up the victory.
Jason Kendall had two hits and scored the only Brewers run. Carlos Villanueva gave up four runs on seven hits over six innings in the loss.
