Brewers avoid sweep by Cubs

The Milwaukee Brewers held onto a late lead and prevailed with a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs Wednesday night, avoiding a three-game sweep at Miller Park.

Milwaukee won the game as -145 favorites, while the five runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9.5).

Prince Fielder smacked a two-run homer to lead the Brewers. Chris Narveson fanned 10 batters in the win, and Trevor Hoffman earned his 35th save.

Jeff Samardzija homered for the Cubs, while surrendering three runs over five innings in the loss.
