Johnson’s homer sinks Devil Rays

Nick Johnson blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning Saturday to lift the Washington Nationals past the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 4-3.

Washington won the game as -110 favorites at home, while the final score fell UNDER the posted over/under (8.5).

Johnson finished 2-4 at the plate, driving in two RBI as Washington evens the series at a game apiece, with the rubber match tomorrow.

Aubrey Huff belted a homer in the loss, driving in one run and finishing 3-5 at the plate.

Chad Cordero got the win in relief, allowing no runs or hits to even his record at 3-3. Brian Meadows gave up one run off one hit in relief to suffer the loss and fall to 2-2 on the season.
