Tigers trounce Nationals
Sean Casey belted a three-run homer as the Detroit Tigers cruised to a 15-1 win over the Washington Nationals Tuesday night at RFK Stadium.
Detroit won the game as –145 favorites, and the 16 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (9).
Casey finished 2-for-5 with four RBI, and scored twice for the Tigers. Chad Durbin threw six solid innings for the victory, allowing just five hits and one run with five strikeouts.
Cristian Guzman was 2-for-3 at the plate for the Nationals and drove in the only run. Jason Simontacchi gave up 10 runs from 10 hits in just three innings to suffer the loss.
