Giants topple Phillies for split
Ryan Klesko belted a three-run homer to lead the San Francisco Giants to a convincing 8-1 win over the Philadelphia Phillies Monday, and earned a split of the four-game set at Citizens Bank Park.
San Francisco won the game as +105 underdogs, while the nine runs were a PUSH against the posted over/under(9).
Kevin Frandsen finished 3-for-4 with two RBI, and Ray Durham belted a two-run shot for the Giants. Barry Zito picked up his sixth win, giving up just one run on six hits in six innings on the mound.
Jimmy Rollins had three hits for the Phillies and scored their only run. Jon Lieber allowed 10 hits and five run over five innings in the loss.
