Phillies dump Reds
The Philadelphia Phillies clinched their four-game series with a 9-6 victory over the Cincinnati Reds Thursday night at Citizens Bank Park.
Philadelphia won the game as -150 favorites, and the 15 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (10).
Jayson Werth went 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs in leading the Phillies. Jamie Moyer went five innings for the victory, and Brad Lidge closed out the ninth with his 17th save.
Edwin Encarnacion had homered and drove in three runs in a losing effort for the Reds. Micah Owings gave up eight hits and seven runs over 4 1-3 innings of work.
