Phillies rout D-Backs for sweep
Ryan Howard belted a three-run homer and drove in four runs to help the Philadelphia Phillies cruise past the Arizona Diamondbacks 12-3 Thursday night at Citizens Bank Park.
Philadelphia won the game as -190 favorites, while the 15 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (9).
Jayson Werth launched a two-run homer for the Phillies, and Ben Francisco also drove in two runs. Joe Blanton went eight innings on the mound for the win, allowing 10 hits and three runs.
Chad Tracy went 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in one run for the Diamondbacks. Doug Davis suffered the loss, giving up six runs off five hits over five innings on the mound.
