Giants edge Phillies in Game 1

Cody Ross belted a pair of homers and the San Francisco Giants held on for a 4-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in the opener of a best-of-seven NLCS Saturday night.

The Giants won the game as +155 underdogs, while the seven runs made it OVER the posted over/under (6.5) set by sportsbooks.

Tim Lincecum went seven innings for the win, striking out eight batters for the Giants. Brian Wilson pitched the ninth to pick up his first save in the series.

Roy Halladay was knocked around for eight hits and four runs over his seven innings in the Phillies loss.
