Hudson tosses gem; Braves stop Pirates

Tim Hudson tossed a two-hit shutout through eight innings as the Atlanta Braves defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-0 in the opener of a three-game series Friday at PNC Park.

Jason Heyward had two hits and drove in three runs to lead the Braves. Hudson improved to 5-1 with the win.
