Carlos Silva allowed one run over seven innings to earn the win, as the Chicago Cubs downed the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-1 on Monday.

Chicago cashed as -160 road favorites, while the teams played UNDER the 8.5-run total set by oddsmakers.

Marlon Byrd was 3-for-4 with two runs batted in for the Cubs, who also got two RBIs from Jeff Baker in the win.

Jason Jaramillo drove in the lone run for Pittsburgh, while losing pitcher Dana Eveland gave up three runs over five innings for the Pirates.
