Garrett Atkins had three hits and drove in one run to lead the Rockies. Aaron Cook was solid on the mound, giving up just one run off three hits.

Kevin Kouzmanoff belted a solo home run for the Padres, while Jake Peavy gave up three runs over six innings of work.
