Adam Kennedy had four hits and drove in two runs to help the Oakland A’s defeat the San Diego Padres 6-3 Saturday night.

Oakland won the game as -125 favorites, while the nine runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8).

Jack Cust went 2-for-5 at the plate with a solo home run for the A’s Michael Wuertz improved to 4-1 with the win, and Andrew Bailey collected his eighth save.

Tony Gwynn had two hits and drove in one run for the Padres. Cla Meredith surrendered the winning run and suffered the loss on the mound.
