Padres outlast Reds in 16 innings
Nick Hundley belted a walkoff homer in the 16th inning to give the San Diego Padres a 6-5 victory over the Cincinnati Reds Saturday night at Petco Park.
San Diego won the game as +120 underdogs, but the 11 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (7.5).
Jody Gerut drove in two runs for the Padres, and Edgar Gonzalez also went deep in the win. Luis Perdomo tossed three scoreless innings of relief to earn the victory.
Laynce Nix had two hits for the Reds, including a a two-run homer. Micah Owings allowed the winning run and was saddled withe loss.
