Padres hammer Giants in rubber match
Josh Bard drove in three runs on Wednesday, as the San Diego Padres crushed the San Francisco Giants 11-3 at AT & T Park in the rubber match of the three-game series.
San Diego won the game as -200 favorites, and the 14 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (7.5).
Bard finished 4-for-5 at the plate, while Kevin Kouzmanoff and Khalil Greene each had a pair of RBI’s in the win. Jake Peavy allowed five hits and two runs over seven innings for the win.
Randy Winn belted a solo home run for the Giants, while Patrick Misch gave up nine hits and eight runs in just over four innings in the loss.
