Cards stop Giants; even series
Albert Pujols hit two home runs as the St. Louis Cardinals evened their three-game series with a 6-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants Saturday night at AT & T Park.
St. Louis won the game as -155 favorites, and the eight runs made it OVER the posted over/under (7).
Skip Schumaker went 3-for-4 at the plate and drove in two runs for the Cardinals. Chris Carpenter improved to 3-0 with the win, allowing six hits and two runs over six innings on the mound.
Juan Uribe had two hits and drove in one run for the Giants. Barry Zito gave up 10 hits and three runs over 6 2-3 innings.
