Giants drop Phillies in opener
Pablo Sandoval belted a solo home run and drove in four runs to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 7-2 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies Thursday night.
San Francisco won the game as +100 underdogs, while the nine runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8.5).
Eugenio Velez hit a bases-loaded double to drive in three runs for the Giants. Jonathan Sanchez tossed 5 2-3 innings for the win, allowing just three hits and two runs.
Chase Utley went deep for the Phillies, and Rodrigo Lopez surrendered seven runs over four innings in the loss.
