St. Louis won the game as -135 favorites at Busch Stadium, while the final score sailed OVER the posted over/under (8.5).
Scott Spiezio collected two hits and two RBI, while scoring two runs for the Cardinals. Adam Wainwright pitched six innings for the win, allowing two runs off nine hits.
Todd Helton drove in one run and finished 2-for-5 at the plate for the Rockies. Jason Hirsh lasted just four innings on the mound, giving up three runs off five hits in the loss.
