Skip Schumaker's fielder's choice in the bottom of the ninth inning plated two runs to lift the St. Louis Cardinals past the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-5 on Monday night.

St. Louis cashed as -175 home favorites, while the teams played OVER the 7-run total set by oddsmakers.

Felipe Lopez went 2-for-4 with a run batted in for the Cardinals, as Jason Motte picked up the win in relief of Chris Carpenter for St. Louis.

Mark Reynolds was 2-for-3 with a two-run shot for Arizona, while Aaron Heilman took the loss for the Diamondbacks after allowing the winning run in the bottom of the ninth.
