Cubs maul Cardinals

The Chicago Cubs swept away the St. Louis Cardinals with a 7-3 victory Wednesday night in the finale of a three-game series at Busch Stadium.

Chicago won the game as +160 underdogs, while the 10 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (7) set by sportsbooks.

Tyler Colvin belted a three-run homer for the Cubs, and Aramis Ramirez smacked a two-run dinger. Carlos Zambrano got the win, allowing just four hits and two runs over six innings.

Chris Carpenter suffered the Cardinals loss, giving up seven hits and five earned runs over 6 1-3 innings.
