Pirates overwhelm Cardinals

Garrett Jones was 3-for-5 with a two-run dinger and three runs batted in, as the Pittsburgh Pirates dropped the St. Louis Cardinals 7-2 on Tuesday night.

Pittsburgh won as +140 road underdogs, while the game resulted in a PUSH on the 9-run total set by oddsmakers.

John Bowker knocked in three runs for the Pirates, as Brian Burres allowed one earned run over 5 2-3 innings to get the win for Pittsburgh.

Matt Pagnozzi went deep for St. Louis, while losing pitcher Jeff Suppan gave up three earned runs over 5 1-3 innings for the Cardinals.
