Lackey, Angels rip Indians
John Lackey fanned eight batters while tossing a three-hitter over seven innings Wednesday, and the LA Angels scored five runs in the fifth inning to defeat the Cleveland Indians 9-3 in the rubber match at Angel Stadium.
LA won the game as -190 favorites, and the 12 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8.5).
Howie Kendrick belted a two-run homer and drove in five runs to lead the Angels. Lackey improved to 7-4 with the victory.
Kelly Shoppach drove in two runs for the Indians, while Aaron Laffey surrendered seven hits and seven runs over four innings in the loss.
