Red Sox edge Rockies

The Boston Red Sox answered back with a run in the eighth-inning, and came away with a 2-1 win over the Colorado Rockies Tuesday night at Fenway Park.

Boston won the game as -175 favorites at home, while the three runs fell well UNDER the posted over/under (10).

David Ortiz was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, and J.D. Drew drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly. Tim Wakefield gave up just four hits and one run over eight innings for the win, and Jonathan Papelbon closed out the game with his 15th save.

Yorvit Torrealba was 2-for-3 at the plate, and drove in the only run for the Rockies. Aaron Cook fell to (4-3) with the loss, allowing seven hits and two runs over 7 1-3 innings of work.
