Jason Varitek drove in the other run for the Red Sox, while Curt Schilling allowed just four hits and a run in the win and Jonathan Papelbon collected the save.
Matt Holliday was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate for the Rockies, while Ubaldo Jimenez gave up three hits and two runs over 4 2-3 innings to suffer the loss.
