Royals down Red Sox in opener
The Kansas City Royals came back from four runs down to defeat the Boston Red Sox 8-6 Thursday night at Fenway Park.
Kansas City won the game as +190 underdogs, while the 14 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (9.5).
Alberto Collaspo drove in a pair of runs and scored once for the Royals. Luke Hochevar allowed just nine hits and five runs over six innings, and Joakim Soria collected his 14th save.
Dustin Pedroia had three hits with one RBI and two runs scored for the Red Sox. Justin Masterson gave up two runs in relief and was saddled with the loss.
