Angels slip past Red Sox
The LA Angels avoided a three-game sweep by the Boston Red Sox with a 4-3 victory in the series finale Thursday night at Fenway Park.
LA won the game as +145 underdogs, while the seven runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9.5).
Howie Kendrick went 3-for-4 at the plate with a solo home run and two runs batted in for the Angels. Kevin Jepsen earned the win in relief, and Brian Fuentes notched his 42nd save.
Jason Bay belted a two-run homer, and Jacoby Ellsbury went deep for a solo home run for the Red Sox. Billy Wagner suffered the loss after giving up the winning run.
