ChiSox capitalize on Marlins mistakes

The Chicago White Sox took advantage of some defensive errors to defeat the Florida Marlins 10-6 Monday night at U.S. Cellular Field.

Chicago won the game as –135 favorites at home, while the combined 16 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (9).

A.J. Pierzynski was 3-for-4 and drove in two runs for the White Sox. Jose Contreras picked up the win, allowing five runs off eight hits and Bobby Jenks earned his 18th save.

Alfredo Amezaga drove in two runs and finished 2-for-5 at the plate for the Marlins. Josh Johnson gave up eight runs from nine hits in just 3 2-3 innings in the loss.
