Marlins rally past White Sox
The Florida Marlins scored twice in the ninth inning for a 7-5 win over the Chicago White Sox Tuesday night at U.S. Cellular Field.
Florida won the game at –110 odds, while the combined 12 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9.5).
Hanley Ramirez and Dan Uggla each homered and drove in two runs for the Marlins. Armando Benitez pitched a scoreless eighth for the win, and Kevin Gregg closed out the ninth with his 12th save.
Josh Fields belted a three-run homer for the White Sox. Matt Thornton gave up two runs in the ninth inning to suffer the loss in relief.
