The Florida Marlins scored four runs in the final two innings on Wednesday, as they defeated the Chicago White Sox 5-4 in the rubber match of a three-game set at U.S. Cellular Field.
Florida won the game as +120 underdogs on the road, while the combined nine runs were a PUSH against the posted over/under (9).
Jason Wood cracked a three-run shot in the eighth inning to propel the Marlins. Taylor Tankersley earned his fourth win in relief, while Kevin Gregg closed out the game with his 13th save.
Paul Konerko homered and finished 2-for-3 at the plate for the White Sox. Jon Garland surrendered three runs off three hits over seven innings in the loss.
