Indians outlast White Sox
The Cleveland Indians scored in bunches early and then held on for a 10-8 victory over the Chicago White Sox Thursday afternoon to avoid a three-game sweep at U.S. Cellular Field.
Cleveland won the game as +110 underdogs, and the 18 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (10).
Kelly Shoppach belted a grand slam home run and finished with five runs batted in for the Indians. Tony Sipp earned the win in relief, and Kerry Wood sealed the win with his 11th save.
Chris Getz went 4-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs for the White Sox. Clayton Richard gave up six runs in less than an inning in the loss.
