White Sox sweep away Braves

Paul Konerko's two-run homer lifted the Chicago White Sox to a 2-0 victory over the Atlanta Braves Thursday night for a sweep of the three-game series at U.S. Cellular Field.

The White Sox won the game as a -110 pick'em, while the teams played UNDER the posted over/under (9) set by sportsbooks.

J.J. Putz tossed a scoreless eighth for the win, and Bobby Jenks closed out the ninth for his 17th save.

Takashi Saito gave up the home run to Konerko and was tagged with the loss.
