Lee goes distance in Indians win
Cliff Lee pitched a complete-game seven-hitter and allowed three runs to lead the Cleveland Indians to a 6-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays at Jacobs Field on Sunday.
The Indians were favored to win at home at -180, but the nine runs scored was just UNDER the posted total of 9.5.
Lee struck out seven Tampa Bay batters to raise his record to 14-11, while Jhonny Peralta had two hits and drove in two runs for the Indians.
Jason Hammel is still looking for his first win of the season, falling to 0-6 by giving up six runs on nine hits in 5 1/3 innings. Damon Hollins and Greg Norton both went deep for the Devil Rays in a losing cause.
