Tigers nip Rays

The Detroit Tigers defeated the AL East champion Tampa Bay Rays for the second straight time with a 4-3 victory on Saturday at Comerica Park.

Detroit won the game as a -105 pick’em, and the combined seven runs fell UNDER the posted over/under (10.5).

Miguel Cabrera went 2-for-4 at the plate with a solo home run for the Tigers. Aquilino Lopez earned the win in relief, and Fernando Rodney closed out the game with his 13th save.

Ben Zobrist had three hits, including a solo home run for the Rays. Jeff Niemann gave up the winning run in the loss.
