Tigers rip apart A's
The Detroit Tigers scored five runs in the first inning and went on to cursh the Oakland A's 14-1 Friday night in the opener of a three-game series at Comerica Park.
Detroit won the game as -150 favorites, and the 15 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (9).
Brandon Inge belted a grand slam home run and finished with five RBIs, while Ryan Raburn also had five RBIs for the Tigers. Edwin Jackson tossed seven innings to record the win.
Adam Kennedy went 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in one run for the A's. Brett Anderson gave up nine run over 3 1-3 innings to suffer the loss.
