The Detroit Tigers scored four runs in the sixth inning and went on to defeat the Texas Rangers 5-3 Wednesday night at Comerica Park.
Detroit won the game as -175 favorites, while the eight runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9).
Brandon Inge went 2-for-4 at the plate with a two-run homer for the Tigers. Justin Verlander allowed just three hits and one run over six innings for the win, and Fernando Rodney collected his seventh save.
Nelson Cruz had two hits for the Rangers, including a solo home run. Matt Harrison suffered the loss, allowing nine hits and five runs over five innings.
